Clinic / medical assistant, full- or part-time

Duties
  • Clinical: Recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients and rooms for examination, drawing blood, preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician, patient education
  • Front desk: Answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, checking in patients/clients, checking out patients/clients
  • General: Medical records and billing, coding for insurance purposes, maintaining lab supplies and order, prioritize and perform multiple tasks

Requirements
  • Current California license as a medical assistant, emergency medical technician, or nursing assistant
  • conversational English speaker
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to lift and carry 25 pounds
  • must currently have a Certified Phlebotomy Technician license or obtain it within first month of employment

Preference given to candidates
  • with experience in outpatient settings and customer service
  • who speak English fluently
  • with experience with computers
  • who speak multiple languages
  • who currently hold a Certified Phlebotomy Technician license

Other
  • Pay is on an hourly basis.
  • Starting pay rate is commensurate with experience.
  • Great job to gain experience in primary care settings, travel health, and the growing field of cosmetic medicine.
