Tranquil Art
A spa or an art gallery?
In support of our local arts community, the Recharge Medical and Day Spa Tranquil Art program provides an intimate exhibition space for local artists that have created art to nourish the soul. This unique collaboration provides artists with an innovative forum to show art focused on well-being.
The details
- Shows run for 2 months.
- A reception for each show is held following the installation, and we work with you to determine an appropriate day and time.
- Additional receptions and open houses can be negotiated.
- Guests are welcome to visit the spa during normal business hours in very small groups (1 to 4 people) to view the art.
- Guest during normal business hours are asked to respect the spa policies maintaining a peaceful spa environment—no cell phones, talking quietly or not at all, etc.)
- Shows must comprise least 7 and no more than 17 pieces (dependent on size).
- Space for sculptural art is also available, and we encourage mixed-media showings.
- Art in these exhibitions should provoke feelings of peace, tranquility, relaxation, and well-being.
- We encourage art that uses natural shapes, forms, and materials.
What we provide
- The exhibition space!
- Promotion of the opening reception, the exhibition, and any associated events to our clients and marketing contacts.
- Promotion of the show on our website.
- Wine glasses, champagne glasses, plates, silverware, and linens for receptions.
- One to two staff members to assist during receptions.
- If the artist is selling their work, we will collect payment and handle sales tax for the artist.
What the artist provides
- The art! (Artwork must be in ready-to-show condition.)
- A short bio or artist's statement to be displayed at the spa and placed on our website.
- 2 digital images of the work to be shown for display on our website.
- Promotion of their own opening reception and/or other evening events.
- Food and drink for the opening reception. (We can negotiate great deals with vendors for food and wine.)
How to apply
Send your full contact information, a short artist's statement, and 2 digital images of work you will include in the show to abills@rechargespa.com. Within 2 weeks, a staff member will contact you for a meeting at the spa. During this meeting you will have an opportunity to lay out your show, set dates, and negotiate all of the details. This is a free service! Recharge Medical and Day Spa does not charge you for the showing or associated events. All artwork is subject to approval by Recharge Medical and Day Spa staff before installation. For more information, contact us.

Meet the Artist
You’re invited to meet artist Jennifer Wildermuth at a wine and cheese reception on Saturday, February 11, 2012, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at Recharge Medical and Day Spa.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about the works of art in the current Tranquil Art show, enjoy some wine and cheese and the wonderful company of other Recharge guests and visitors.
